HarperCollins, the parent company of EbookWorld.com, is partnering with the ebooks industry to help publishers develop the tools to make the books of the future more affordable.
The HarperCollins-EbookWorld partnership aims to improve the access and affordability of the eBooks of the Future by providing eBooks publishers with tools that allow them to create and distribute the eBargains and other content in a cheaper and more effective way.
The two companies have already announced a partnership that will support eBooks in a number of ways, including offering a discount on ebook purchases.
The goal of the partnership is to create a world in which eBooks are a viable alternative to the expensive, cumbersome digital formats of today, which can often be hard to read or difficult to store, and to provide publishers with a means to improve their books.
The partners will work together on developing a number, including the creation of a single platform to deliver eBooks to all digital platforms.
“Publishers are in an increasingly difficult position,” said HarperCollins Publisher and Head of Publishing, Steve McQueen.
“In order to compete with the rapidly growing number of eBooks, it is essential that they can continue to innovate to keep up with the digital onslaught.
We are excited to work with Ebookworld to provide them with the tools and resources to make this possible.”
McQueen is one of several members of the HarperCollins family who are also part of the initiative, including Stephen Harper, the publisher of HarperCollins titles including The Sun, The New Yorker, The American and the Harper Collins titles.
Ebook world will also be able to partner with other major publishers, including Penguin Books and Simon & Schuster.
The new eBooks platform will include a suite of tools and tools to help make it easier for publishers to deliver content to eBooks and other digital platforms, said Harper Collins Publisher and Chief Technology Officer, John Lutz.
“It will enable us to offer eBooks as a cost-effective alternative to traditional physical bookstores and online retailers.
This will also enable us, alongside other publishers, to offer an easy-to-use, easy-use service for consumers, making eBooks the leading digital store for eBooks.
We will work with our partners and partners of other digital publishers to make sure we are able to deliver a better experience for our consumers.”
McKnight said that HarperCollins will continue to support Ebook-friendly digital stores by supporting Amazon Kindle books.
“We have a partnership with Amazon where you can purchase Kindle books and we will continue that relationship.
We also have an e-book program at the publisher and we are working with the publishers on that.
I’m confident that this is going to be a big success,” he said.
McKnight added that Harper Collins and Ebooks World are committed to working with publishers to bring more digital content to their customers.
“This is a great opportunity for Ebook publishers to continue to deliver value for their customers and it’s a win-win for all involved,” said Lutz, who also serves as HarperCollins Chief Technology and Business Officer.
“This partnership with HarperCollins has the potential to help them become more competitive in the e-books market.”
“Ebook world is a wonderful addition to HarperCollins e-Book World, helping to accelerate the transition of ebooks to digital,” said Ebook Worlds Chief Marketing Officer, Daniel T. Zorzi.
“Our goal is to ensure that ebooks continue to have a place in the digital world.
EBook World will continue providing our readers with access to the best eBooks at the lowest price.”
