If you want to make a simple e-book with a few clicks and a bit of imagination, then I recommend creating an Ebook.
I have found it to be very effective and the process can be very easy.
It’s like the e-reader version of a pen and paper, but it’s a whole different beast.
Here’s how to do it.
Step 1 – Make the bookYou’ll need a blank page to start off with, a blank or soft cover, and a paper template.
I’ve got mine on the side of my desk so it’s easy to move around.
You can make the template by pressing CTRL + SHIFT + ALT + TAB on the keyboard.
To get it to open in a new tab, go to the File menu and then select New Folder.
Step 2 – Choose the page and file formatYou’ll choose between a PDF or an EPUB file.
I prefer to use EPUBs because they have better quality.
I use Adobe Acrobat PDF for the template.
Step 3 – Open the template and choose the formatThe template will show you the options and you’ll be able to pick the type of file you want.
You’ll have to select the right size and then the size will determine how many lines of text are on it.
Here are the sizes I recommend:PDF – about 500MB, about 5,000 wordsEPUB – about 700MB, 1,000 to 3,000 pagesYou’ll have a page or two to work with.
To make things easier, we’re going to make the book in one step.
Step 4 – Save the template as a .PDF fileNow that you’ve chosen your file format, go into File > Save as.
It’ll show you a list of available PDF files.
The one you want is the one with the name ‘Paid Version’ on it, so hit OK.
This will save the file as a PDF file.
Step 5 – Choose which e-books you wantTo make the Ebook, we need to choose which ebooks we want to include.
There are a few options available.
You could include a whole bunch of different e-readers, e-shelves or e-versions.
I recommend a simple Ebook template.
It includes only the text that needs to be in the book, and doesn’t have to include any images.
Step 6 – Choose whether to include images or notYou could have a simple page with a picture of the title, a picture with the word ‘EBook’ or a photo of the book itself.
For this step, you’ll want to have a template like this:Step 7 – Choose your file nameThe next step is the editing step.
You’re going of course to need to pick a name for your template.
Here, I’m going to use the name of my template:Book.pdfThe book template is a simple, plain text file.
We’re going on to change it to something more sophisticated and include more information in the form of an eBook.
First, let’s make the cover.
Go into File and choose New > Template.
This is where you’ll put in the name you chose for the book.
The template will include a number of text tags.
The first will be the title and the last one will be ‘Title’.
Now that the cover has been created, we’ll edit the title of the template, but first we need some images.
Go to File > File Name and choose Save as ….
This opens a new window and you can change the file name in the drop-down menu.
The filename should match the name on your template (Book.jpg).
Next, you’re going the edit step.
Go back to File and select Save as….
Here we’ll change the name to Book.png and change the size to 600×600.
Now that we have our image, we can go back to the template again and edit the text tags to add more information.
You want the text to say, ‘Title’, ‘Author’, and ‘Format’.
Here’s what the tags should look like:Step 8 – Select the size of the imageYou’ll want the size you want for the image to match the size.
I like to use a large image, but you can get away with anything.
You may need to change the image size later if you want a larger or smaller image.
Step 9 – Select whether to use images or textIn this step you’ll need to make two changes.
First, you need to go back and edit one of the text and the image tags to include a space between the tags.
If you don’t, the book will be smaller than it should be.
Here is the text tag:BookTitle – title of book (e.g. ‘Book 1’)Author – author (e for the author)Format – format (e-books, ebooks for example)You’ll also want to change this to
